After four different time's losing out to higher bidders, I finely won one for a cheap price! Jim Corce "Words and Muisc"
Steve, I have the DCC gold disc "Gold in a Bottle". Why were two Croce discs produced? Thanks, Joe Lee
Words And Music is actually very easy to come by. Sealed! I got a copy for around $11.99 last week.... The Words And Music disc takes care of Jim's earlier stuff from "I Got A Name", "Croche", some stuff with Ingrid and also the original single version of "Operator", which I don't think is on any other Croche disc. Croche's catalog suffers from compilation syndrome, but that's what sells and gets his music out!
Sckott, The single version of "Operater" is the main reason why I want the disc. This disc has gone as high as 40.00 or so on other auction's I've been involved with, not worth it to me. I've also seen this recently for the usual retail price of 29.99, still not worth it to me. $10.00 to $15.00 I'll go for it.
Me too. That one (Gold/Bottle) I paid much higher money for, but both are very worth it. For those wondering, there's enough copies and not enough people going for "Words And Music" that places like Newbury Comics have a stream of unopened copies going for $11.99 in the used bins, and IMHO, the disc is worth more than that to me!
I was mistaken with titles, I meant the vinyl LP of "His Greatest Recordings" on DCC. Why wasn't "Gold in a Bottle" put out instead?
Guys, it's Jim Croce... not...Corce or Croche. Yup, that 45 MONO version of "Operator" is great!!! Thanks Steve for getting that out...and "Words And Music" is the only place you'll find it!
Joe, good for you man. Looks like you caught them sleeping for that price great deal even with shipping cost. TRUST ME. You know that old saying, Good things come to those who wait.
