I'm stunned - no-one has mentioned Supersister (or did I miss it ?) - great early seventies prog (canterbury) sound - here's two of their classics https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LodjAyIX3fM
Yes! Johan is/was an amazing band. I was waiting for a right moment to post one of their videos. As terrific as their first album was, their second one Pergola was even better!
I just have to post this, awesome synth pop from Ad Visser + Daniel Sahuleka (from the band Massada). Fun fact: Ad Visser used custom programmed sequencer software to create his Sobrietas album. The sequencer ran on a DEC PDP-11, which was a mini computer mostly used in factories and industrial automation at that time. The PDP-11 is in the background of the picture.
Yes. The first US edition of that LP came with a 7" w/bonus tracks. Still have my WLP that I liberated from the record store I was where I was working at the time.
Perhaps...but one of the more interesting threads going on! So sorry that I cannot resist the temptation to wreck it some more by mentioning The Beach Boys Holland album. And now, to listen to some of the stuff posted herein
one of the most beautiful songs from recent times, from SHForum member Yorick (also contributed to this thread but of course didn't post his own music). Paul McCartney wishes he could still make 'em like this:
she was one of the aforementioned Dolly Dots, but she had some great songs in the late 80's/early 90's, "Pressure" and this one:
I didn't have that song at my list of 25 Dutch gems which I would like to post, but I should! A great song I forgot.
