My memories of him will always be Mission: Impossible. What a great talent.

Ed Wood is when I realized how good an actor he really was. I liked him before that but that was an amazing performance.

  3. Ah man, one of my favorite actors. Originally Gene Roddenberry wanted him to play Spock. He's great in everything he's been in.

I can picture him as Spock now. Ed Wood made me believe he could portray about anybody....within reason.

He had a good long marriage and co-working relationship with Barbara Bain and even after their divorce in 1993, remained friendly. RIP Mr. Landau!

Unique actor. Didn't care much for Space 1999 but he was awesome in M.I. and that dual twin role he did in Columbo was top notch.

  7. I always always happy that he could the second career in films thanks to Woody Allen, Tim Burton. He gave two of his most complex performances for both of them.

Indeed. His performance in CRIMES AND MISDEMEANORS is the work of someone who has truly mastered his craft.

Nice little bit of "Playhouse" style acting from Landau here. Who's the other guy.

I guess he'll be best-remembered as Rollin Hand, but I'll always think of him as John Koenig. Rest in peace, Mr. Landau.

RIP. If you get a chance, listen to Marc Maron's WTF podcast for a fairly recent interview, where Martin talks about acting. I believe he was teaching acting or running an acting workshop until recently. Sharp as a tack.

He was terrific in "The Majestic" as Jim Carrey's "father". Great movie if
    you haven't seen it.
