I read the title too fast and thought this might be photos from the actual sessions of the song -- just John and Paul bashing out the song. Have any pics from that session ever surfaced?

Hey, did George shave his moustache off during the photo session?

 

WTH, Yoko is in every shot. What is that? Did she become a Beatle?

 

I've always wondered what the other guys thought of having Yoko in an official Beatles photoshoot, EVEN though it's for the Ballad Of John and Yoko single...

 

I've always wondered what the "others' thought about Yoko being in just about every picture too.

 

I think the looks on their faces in most shots says it all.

 

Except most of them are not shots of the band.

 

I was going to re-post that exact photo and comment. I'm against all the Yoko Ono-bashing that goes on, but boy that had to have been an uncomfortable photo shoot for Paul, George & Ringo. I mean, Paul does manage a smile in some of the photos, but George looks really ticked and/or bored in about 95% of them. And in this picture, the look on Paul, George and Ringo's faces says it all about how they felt, re: Yoko Ono being there and taking part. This is an official group photo shoot, and they can't even raise a hint of a smile.

 

Paul's socks just kill !!!



Also, this is the prettiest pic of Yoko I've ever seen...although there is a weird Michael Jackson vibe going on...

 

George has Paul's thumbs up proxy.

 

Yoko is a Beatle.... which is why 4 months later, would be their final photo shoot together.

 

I like Yoko's outfit- that's pretty darn cool!

 

They look just like two gurus in drag.

I love Yoko, but it was definitely a dick move on John's part to include her in Beatles photo sessions. I mean, it's just such an instigation! Totally using her as a wedge. Being a king mixer.

I get the whole "we don't ever want to be apart from each other" deal, and I can even understand her being in the studio if he wants her there, but the photo session thing crosses a line.

 

Good point. Imagine how they felt when she was in the studio.

 

in between arguments, discussions, fights and what you have about apple business, beatles business, financial issues and what was left of the group, dealing with johnandyoko (on heroin) must have felt like just part of the whole ordeal. if only half of peter doggett's book were true, it would already be a nightmare to live in.
