Are the differences as drastic as they are on DSOTM? If anyone has done a comparison b/w the two I would love to hear a rundown of the differences. Shine On, Chris
Really? I have an UDII but figured the UDI was the one to get. Strange that DSOTM would have such different EQ and Meddle would not. How does the MFSL stand up against the remaster? Chris
Well there is a slight difference in that a very fine veil is removed with the UD1, but no the difference is no where close to DSOTM. This is the most common difference between the UD1 & UD2 Chris.
Thanks Dave. You just saved me some $$. BTW, the modded 555ES sounds great! I haven't done a detailed comparison against the XA20ES but so far I'm very impressed w/ the modded 555ES. Chris

Todd, Oade Brothers for $175. I still don't know exactly what they did but they said that most Sony techs can't tell it's been modded. They said they try to get it to sound like the 777ES and get pretty close. Chris
