I always loved those 2 mellow hits from Gerry and the Pacemakers - "Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying" and "Ferry Cross the Mersey"
Hunt down "Mr. Acker Bilk In Paris" and the other fine Atco output of Mr. Acker Bilk. I own many of these in near mint condition.
But what a great song, all the same (and one of my favorite songs that Supertramp ever released, even though it is clearly Roger alone, for the most part!)
Here you go... I think this forgotten (if it was ever known to begin with) is gorgeous, the harmonies are astonishing! I love that "Talk about harbour lights... bah...boh...BOM!"
Smokey and His Sister - Creators Of Rain. I thought the female singer was Cher when I first heard this many moons ago.
Did you like it? Did you like Face of Yesterday? Or how about Isadora and Beautiful Country (either of which, and particularly the latter, would also be very much at home in this thread)? Some of the other tracks are pretty good as well!
This one has a good rhythm too - The New Seekers, Circles: Gotta play this long 45 version, the others pale by comparison!
Thankfully, yes since money was tight at the time and I would have hated to feel I wasted it. Very nice find indeed.
I have this, too but by Mary Travers from the album of the same name, around '73. Alas, nothing on YT.
