Exactly - I agree 100% with you. There are definitely those who think that if Miles isn't playing then it's not really worth listening to. I'm in for the whole experience.

I think NPR's website has samples.

If anyone has a link, could you please post it? I checked NPR Music's First Listen before I posted above, and I didn't see it there.

Really, really enjoying the second CD in this set (1966 and 1967). The "Stella by Starlight" is to die for.

None of the stores here have it in stock yet. Maybe next week.

All but three of the tracks are available for streaming on Apple Music. For some inexplicable reason you can't stream the introduction, Hackensack, or Now's the Time.

Likely rights based, going back to the owner of the recording.

Just to clear up the issue over the '75 track, Mtume.

As we speculated, it's clearly from the commonly circulating - and certainly bootleg quality - stage recording. So aside from any issues over the quality of the performance, it was always unlikely much more was going to show up on this release.

Would have been great to know there was a better recording but there it is - it was always a long shot. Anyway, with that out of the way I'm looking forward to hearing the rest!

It's the same on Spotify; weird.
The new stuff/upgrades are the 1966 and 1967 sets, both of which have previously only circulated less complete and in worse quality.
The other stuff is meh already have it, but those two make this an automatic buy imo.

I miss the video DVDs on the first two volumes. Sure was nice to see them in action.

The set isn't on Spotify at all in the U.S., yet.

Don't have my stereo set up due to a move last week, but this set LOOKS great, booklet, packaging. I'm so happy we have this series.

Finally had a chance to get through all of it. Really enjoying it.

The '75 material, as pointed out above, sounds very much like the recording that's out there. The '73 material likewise (it's remarkably like the bootleg I have, but narrower stereo, which makes it much better to listen to IMO); similarly with the 1971 show. The first two discs are great, especially the '66-'67 performances! Can anyone identify if the circulating recordings of these were in stereo or mono? This disc is mono, as is the '55 set, but the '58 show is stereo.

If I recall right the '66 and '67 sets surfaced through Wolfgang's Vault. I don't know if they circulated before then.

Where they are indeed in mono. Thank you very much!

I'm enjoying this set a lot. I'm not one with a lot of unofficial Miles releases, so for me, the previously unreleased material here fills some important holes.

Finally have my system set up. I've listened to two of the discs (1 and 2) and am very happy indeed.

Don't know why they only released the soundtrack of the Berlin concert. The video is available in pristine quality:
