I chose Roger Waters Is This the Life We Really Want? but where is Steven Wilson's To the Bone?! :realmad:

It should be somewhere in the 50. For me it's #1.

Roger Waters for me. If the Old 97's was on the list I'd have to think harder.

Wolf Alice -- they are a young band doing great things. People who complain about the state of rock music or new artists should listen to this. It's my favorite new music release of the year. The title track, "Visions of a Life," is a standout, as is "Planet Hunter."

My favorite release of "older" music is the live album by the Replacements.

OK, I was 0 for 25 on the first list. Here, I actually have two of these in the car. Thought Becks album was really strong (A-) , yet not up to his last one (A+). Haven't played Jason Isbell yet, but I remember liking the preview on NPR.

This times 100. Wolf Alice's new album is for me, an easy contender for best release this year.

From this list, Paul Weller for me. Roger Waters would be second.

High quality contemporary music no longer means popular music for me so I'm not shocked I've only streamed three of the albums from the 50. Couldn't care less what Mojo thinks anymore, that's for sure.

    Roger Waters

Far and away the best album on that portion of the list (once again, there's a lot of junk on that list)
You're lucky to get 10 - 15 good new releases in a year, let alone 50 or more...

  23. That Julia and Angus Stone LP is my album of the year. The Roger Waters is close for me.

If anyone loved Beck's Sea Change or Morning Phase, it's imperative hearing Julia and Angus Stone's new album. The production is very close in tone to Morning Phase.
