About 3 years ago the boss gave me the original living room in the house for a listening room...We have a family room addition and no one ever used the living room...So, since then I have been chasing my tail around different amps, preamps, phono amps, and speakers...I also wasted a lot of time trying to make a project carbon sound as good as everyone said it should....Synergy isn't as easy as you might think...So I regrouped, sold all my stuff and went simple...

Amp - freshly restored Marantz 1152DC
    TT - Denon DP-1200 with a DL-110 cart
Speakers - ADS L980 studio monitors
    Blue Jeans Interconnects

Finally, now I just listen to the music...

Thanks, looking at all those amazing rooms in the other thread I can't help but just shrug my shoulders and put on another record...

Ahhh...simple is wonderful...good job. Now...just get rid of that platform thingy the TT is on, and it will be even better.

That part of the TT? Or just isolation? Pardon my oversight.

His isolation platform on top of the cabinet..

its overkill...my thinking was, solid base (the bluestone ), isolation (the wood platform) also it raises it up to where i'm not hunched over, I'm 6' 2" with a lower back issue from time to time...

Okay makes sense. Regardless...LOVE the gear. I usually prefer stuff hidden but that is elegant.

Fantastic. A thousand times better than almost anything in the other listening room thread.

Less is more. Perfect. And since your first post had plenty of "likes" I gave you one less like than the post deserves.

You know where else that saying holds true? In post count. ;)
Sometimes it's best to shut up and listen.

Nice system and I have a good idea how it sounds. I had ADS L880 II's as my main speakers for about 15 years. They made music and couldn't be significantly improved upon without spending silly money.

    Enjoy listening.
