A Few Good Men. I've seen the damn thing at least 15 times, but I always finish it out when It's on.

There's no sense to it except the pleasure it provides if you know the movie well. Casablanca, now that I think on it, is another classic that I'd stop to watch if I came by it on tv with no other viewing intentions. It's like seeing old friends that have stayed exactly the way you've always remembered them. Course, that can be another reason to keep surfing.

Jaws. Always followed by Mrs. Lemur walking into the room, seeing Scheider, Dreyfuss, and Bruce on the television, shaking her head, and making an exit.

Pretty much every movie I like. It doesn’t matter that the movie is partway through, as I remember the parts I missed.

Any Three Stooges stuff I'll stop and watch, if I can find it. They seem harder to come by nowadays than they did in the 1970s/80s.

And pretty much any Charlton Heston film. Especially the Ten Commandments and his sci-fi era stuff.

    Kill Bill - either one.
The Deep Blue Sea - the one about the sharks with Thomas Jane. Don't know why exactly, I just always find myself getting hooked every time I come across it.
Many other oldies, too many to mention.

  10. We must have very different viewing habits - I don't ever recall seeing it on TV (unfortunately!).

Just saw it on TCM a couple of weeks ago, and wound up having to watch the entire second half of the movie. I think that means I've now seen Citizen Kane 107.5 times.

Fred Gwynne as Judge Haller always makes me laugh in this.

Judge Haller:"Once again, the communication process has broken down between us. It appears to me that you want to skip the arraignment process, go directly to trial, skip that, and get a dismissal. Well, I'm not about to revamp the entire judicial process just because you find yourself in the unique position of defending clients who say they didn't do it."
