Looks interesting. the wife loved Jackie, so this may be an actual theater visit.
The only nit I could pick was the Johnson book said that Jackie's outfit was littered with-let's just say-gross stuff that day and she refused to have it washed. She insisted that people see. I think the quote it attributed to her was 'let them see what they did to Jack.'
The shower scene is very visceral.

This got lots of positive press in festival screenings.

Personally, I never bought into any of the Camelot nonsense, and I'm not particularly interested in seeing it regardless of how well it's done...

The first minute was pretty amazing how well she got the feel and look of Jackie down. Couldnt picture Natalie as portraying her before the clip.

The last minute stunk of Hollywood.

I can readily see Natalie as Jackie.

Here was Parker Posey back in 1997, As a mentally unbalanced young woman (who thinks she's Jackie Kennedy).

This is definitely one that I will wait for lots of reviews. Jackie certainly lived an interesting life. I would have loved to have read her memoirs, but alas she died too young. How does one recover from having her husband's brains blown away right in your lap?

one of the weirdest Mf'ing movies I've ever seen. Great acting in a weird script. Except for the Spelling girl, who is wooden

IIRC, when she disclosed she was dying, she agreed to talk about 11/22/63 on tape for the sake of history. I think the tapes are archived in DC and cannot be viewed or heard for a certain number of years.

I'll probably just get it when it comes out on DVD. It's not my usual fare, but looks like quality.

I'm considering catching it this weekend, along with the Denzel Washington film Fences.

I was looking forward to Ben Affleck's Live by Night, but I just saw the reviews. Oofah!

Movie is heart wrenching and complicated. Really great character study. Portman is phenomenal. Wife and I both recommend! In some ways the movie is made even more poignant by recent events.

Not an exceptionally well-done film. Portman is ok, but this is one more of those interpretive views of events laid over some factual guidelines. Quite a few of the other roles are also very miscast. Not a horrible movie-watching experience, but not really a necessary or satisfying one.
