Need help with my AT-LP120

The tone-arm lift of my AT-LP120-USB seems to have broken or something. At first it seemed to have lost its hydraulic function and followed the lever's movement directly, but lately I noticed that it's also "skipping" halfway through, it falls more abruptly if I don't handle the lever slowly.
This can be fixed, right?
(I'm not the one who set it up originally)

 

I have the same TT, and I experience the same problem just as you describe. I don't know if it can be fixed, and I haven't explored any ways to fix it, either. On a different AT-LP120 thread (not sure which one right now), another poster mentioned a similar problem with his AT-LP120 tonearm lift. Hopefully someone will have an answer that will help us.
