Yea I want to hear those tracks too! What would be nice is if he would do a box set similar to what Queen and the Rolling Stones which contains EVERY single and it's respective b-side with sleeve artwork Just think it's time for something different with a little thought
No excuse for skipping over Tumbleweed-- or Captain & the Kid, since there's something from most of the other latter day albums. And wasn't "The One" an actual hit?
No he would put some stuff on it that’s not available on cd. The mastering would also be somewhat even on all the discs, good or bad.
I'm thinking there's going to be a 2-CD version (which I think is probably the same as the tracklist above) and a 3-cd version.
He has so many hits - some much beloved and others ... less so - that it's easy to pick songs that are missing from the list that Kevin55 provided. Wouldn't most fans pick Empty Garden over Blue Eyes? Or maybe This Train Don't Stop over I Want Love? And there's boatloads of other tracks that were/are well-known: Border Song, Levon, Lucy In The Sky, Mama Can't Buy You Love... Plus there are a couple on that listing that were absolute nothing tracks in the US. I get that Song For Guy was a sweet gesture (and a UK hit) but is it really a good song? Was Electricity even issued in the US? Makes me wonder if this will have varying tracklists by country... And what's with it being chronological up until the end, and then having Lion King tracks sort of randomly inserted?
It's not really chronological though - there are errors - 'Island Girl' sits before 'someone saved...'
Yeah, and I'd say that overall it shares the one glaring error with nearly every other Elton compilation: It shortchanges the rock and roll.
