For those of you who have this and the Loves You box set,
are the bonus tracks here on Bark, the same as included in the Box?

  2. Well they would probably have to add a writer publishing credit for that second song. Towards the end the lead guitar plays a continuous rift. What song is it from ? I can't remeber or place it.

Is that boot version of "Feels So Good "the same as the 9+ minute studio version found on the JA Loves You box? Jorma is smokin' there fer sure!

Same, except the box set version is faded at 9:23. The boot version fades at 10:18.

You villains. I'd planned to get "Bark" much later but your glowing comments have forced my hand!

Was the quad mix of Bark ever released on vinyl? This is the first I've heard of this.

The 13:32 version of "Pretty As You Feel" smokes the album version. Papa John overdubs a second fiddle and goes wild jamming with Jorma and Jack. You can hear this version on YouTube. Has this been officially released anywhere?

Anyways, I'm going to order the new Bark right now. Keep 'm coming, Iconoclassic!

Another shout out to RJP and "Sunday Flyers". I would never have known it was being re-released without that thread.

I love Bark and always have. However, this band should have been called "Jefferson Tuna". It really wasn't an Airplane album. Same as "Long John Silver', really good but not a JA record. The latter was the beginning of the Jefferson Starship and also included Kaukonen and Cassidy.

  16. I like Jefferson Tuna....

No, you have it in reverse. The band should have been called "Tuna Jefferson", after the third President of the USA. ;)

Got mine from Bull Moose and I concur with all, sounds fantastic! Only quibble- too bad you didnt reprint the 4 page liner notes by Jeff Tamarkin from the RCA cd. I'm going to stick that booklet into this new cd and toss the old cd.

Love this release. I ordered '30 seconds over Winterland' on Iconoclassic from Amazon and it shipped too! Even though it was out of stock.

Side A of Bark is as good as anything the Airplane ever did.
