New Paul McCartney album "Egypt Station" coming September 7, 2018*

If it’s called McCartney VIII, I won't be able to sleep knowing that I missed III, IV, V, VI, and VII....

The naming wouldn't make sense for me, on account that as far as we're aware the album was neither self-recorded or self-produced.

Maybe he's letting us know he can still remember things (like his name and that he has an album to release) even at his advanced age.

 

He could have put the original Kurstin album aside and recorded a whole new one. He could have recorded several albums in these intervening years.

But if he's supposedly debuting the live performance of the new song on the Late Late show next week, surely it would make sense to have the announcement ahead of, or during his appearance?

 

True, as far as remember he start Memory Almost Full in 2003 or so and leave it to do Chaos

 

Interesting that someone guessed McCartney 3 on his Instagram pic and his Instagram account liked the comment. I know that isnt anything definite but still.

That would be a surprise, to be sure. But a welcome one.
