Any DSOTM sounds decent. My guess is that may be an 80's reissue. Having gone through many UK versions the best by some margin are my second pressing and the 30th Anniv with the latest BG sounding very good but someway behind. Also would recommend the 30th SACD.

Yes, me too! Thank you so much :D

I nailed it even though I'm in the U.S. Here, with tax it is about $26, but snagging this great deal it was only $16 delivered :)

I don't have the first two, so this was an AWESOME help!

    Please, keep them coming!

    THANK YOU!!! [IMG]

Awesome guy, very nice fellow. He bought about 2000 CDs that a friend moving to Hawaii gave to me (no use for those... :) ) and about 2000 vinyl albums of the ones from my friend that I didn't want :D

I don't think he is much of an Audiophile, but he sure has an excellent store, treats his customers very well, and is a great guy!

Norco74 For the good and the not so good…

Since I have cleaned my 30th DSOTM copy, surface noise and sibiliance have been back to acceptable level. This the second post I am writing about this. It was also confirmed by another forum member. Was cleaned using VPI16.5 and l'Art du son.

Ah nice! Yeah, he ribs me about my finicky tastes when it comes to me being particular about pressings. But other than that, he'll remember ones preference and put stuff aside for you if you may have interest. My favorite shop in town!

Also, was VERY fortunate to have scored a very clean 1st UK Animals about 7 years ago on Discogs!

Thanks Ron. That's interesting. - DSOT is a pig to find on vinyl in nice condition due to the thick card inner sleeves. This will be a must when it appears in a store near me...

They may not get their official UK and US released at the same time but the Italian releases are legit.

On 17th November 2017, Pink Floyd Records will reissue A Collection Of Great Dance Songs and Delicate Sound Of Thunder on vinyl, the first time they have been available on this format for well over twenty years. These are the band's first 'best of' and live albums to be remastered on vinyl.

Over the past two years, Pink Floyd Records has released the entire studio collection as stereo remastered versions on heavyweight 180g vinyl. All are mastered from the original analogue studio tapes with album artwork faithfully reproduced. The same applies to these best of and live albums.

Originally released in 1981, A Collection Of Great Dance Songs was certified Double Platinum by the RIAA in 2001. The compilation album contains alternative mixes and versions of the band's classics including Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Another Brick In The Wall (Part 2) and Money.

Recorded live over five nights in August 1988 at the Nassau Coliseum, Long Island, NY, Delicate Sound Of Thunder became infamous for being the first rock album to be played in outer space.

Ordering links will be shown here very shortly, once the various Amazon stores list these upcoming releases.
