My band District 97 has a Kickstarter for our 4th studio album going for a few more days at District 97's 4th Studio Album . It's gotten a great response! You can see a live version of one of our new songs, complete with a quote from Bill Bruford, here:
Le Bateleur, by Alco Frisbass (instrumental progressive rock / "Canterbury" style, full-length, physical CD available, released May 21, 2018, France) Favourite track: Les Cartes Vivantes
Not so new release, as this debut album is released in 2016, but as it wasn't released at Bandcamp until now, I'd like to post it here. Because it's anyway overlooked but an excellent flute-driven (and yet not a rip-off Jethro Tull) Progressive rock album. Their second album, released this year, isn't Prog, but (also nice) Art Rock album that I have to post it in New Art Rock Releases thread. Ignorance leads to Ruin, by Minstrel's Gallery (progressive rock, full-length, released February 28, 2016, Skopje, Macedonia) Favourite track: A-circle
Duel, by Onségen Ensemble (experimental rock, full-length, released June 6, 2018, Finland) Favourite track: Three Calls of the Emperor's Teacher
Finch, by Finch (progressive rock, 6-track EP, released June 6, 2018, Victoria, British Columbia) Favourite track: Astral Rage
This is brand new. Maybe you are thinking about A Stone’s Throw From The Line, a live disc released late 2016.
MAXOPHONE - La Fabbrica Delle Nuvole (2017) Quite sure about seeing it many times in the display of my favorite indie store.
Thank you to remind me they have another one coming out soon. Do you think they are releasing too many albums since EE? No complaint here but I will start to loose interest if the band just sink in a comfort spot.
I think The Second Brightest Star was kind of mediocre, but I liked Folklore and Grimspound. So maybe they did put out a little too much in a short time period. I guess the true test will be when they return with a new studio album.
Agree. I like SBS but to me it is a collection of alternative versions from Grimspound, Folklore and tracks that were exclusive to eps.
COLOURS, by PRYZM (progressive fusion, full-length, released June 1, 2018, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) Favourite track: Reaching Inward
Dagon - Lovecraft 5, by Lovecraft4ever (space-rock, full-length, live recorded, released June 2, 2018, Chester, UK) Favourite track: The Other Gods
Zarathustra also spielt... remastered (progressive rock, full-length, released June 10, 2018, Biedenkopf, Germany) Favourite track: Got to get away
p.s. In my previous post, I forgot to put the link for Zarathustra's remastered re-issue, which sounds really great: also spielt... remastered, by Zarathustra
Dreams and Improvisations, by George Barbera (progressive rock, full-length, released June 12, 2018, New York) Favourite track: Dreamer
On the Precipice of Many Infinities, by The Fractured Dimension (instrumental prog metal, full-length, physical CD available, released June 14, 2018, Battlefield, Missouri) Favourite track: Mathematics of Divinity
Where The Waters Run Clear, by Silent Temple (progressive folk-rock, full-length, released June 15, 2018, USA) Favourite track: In The Land Of Green And Blue
The Sound Of The Earth (HD), by Xavi Reija feat. Tony Levin, Markus Reuter, Dusan Jevtovic (progressive fusion, full-length, physical CD available, released June 15, 2018, Barcelona, Spain) Favourite track: From Darkness
