A couple of weeks ago, we celebrated my close friend's upcoming wedding by renting a place for a weekend to have the bachelor party, part of which consisted of him needing to wear his Mega Man costume at all times, even while playing volleyball.

It's known in our vast circle of friends that he looooves those games. We have a few funny pics and videos from that weekend with him wearing his costume.

Well he does have quite the blaster... :)

Those first 3 NES Mega Man games are outstanding.

I remember even back in the mid to late 90's when Funcoland was big, a copy of the first Mega Man would cost you 30 bucks, and was pretty rare (which explains why when I found one, I immediately bought it). A quick look on ebay shows that it runs for roughly 30-60 bucks. Not bad.

I worked on the Mega-Man cartoon show for several years, and every episode, I'd laugh at the robot dog that could only say "Meg-Meg-Mega!" Somehow, that struck me as funny. Very nice people to work with on the show, but god, the series itself was awful.

Your mistake was probably adding the word "adult" in there.

The costume we got the future groom was perfectly fine. Just a big MM costume. Pretty hilarious seeing somebody in full costume of adult size walking around! :biglaugh:

I'm guessing it was probably the same production company as Captain N and a bunch of those shows. They were average at best. The only reason they lasted as long as they did was because of the characters being recognizable to players like us. Otherwise, it would've lasted maybe half a season.

I bought the first Mega Man game at Funcoland too! ElecMan will always be my favorite boss in the Mega Man series.

Can I interest either of you in a Cleaning Kit and a trial subscription to Game Informer magazine? Price sheets are on the counter... :)

I had a subscription to Nintendo Power and a generic cleaning kit. The cleaning kit was worthless, but I loved Nintendo Power.

Stupidly, I threw out my Nintendo Power magazines during a phase where I didn't play video games. Now that I am playing again, I wish I still had them.

Ah, Nintendo Power! Such a great magazine!

I recycled them, but same difference. Went looking on eBay, and people are charging more than I want to pay to reaquire them.
