Guys, i know this is a bit off topic, but I'm desperate. I'm trying to record digitally from my ADAT optical output into my GINA 24 Optical input, using CEP 1.2 I'm not getting any sound into the Echo Console Meters.

    Heres what I did:

Hooked up the ADAT Optical OUT into the GINA Optical IN
hooked up the ADAT Optical IN to the GINA Optical OUT

Set all 8 tracks on CEP for Digital in.
On CEP, in "system" set record for Digital 1/2
On Echo Console, UNMUTED the 8 digital ins
On Echo Console, clicked "Adat Optical"
on Echo console, matched bitrate to ADAT (the tape is playing back at 48k, 16 bit)

Still, no sound when I hit record, no waveforms, nothing.

Is ANYONE here recording digitally from an ADAT into CEP?

please help if you can. its MUCh appreciated.

    thank you,
    Mikey

...and you checked your soundcard configurations in Cool Edit's options?

Post this on the Synt forums, if you haven't already.

    latest news....

Well, as of 12:25 am I FINALLY got the damn ADAT to talk DIGITALLY to the Gina 24 card, transferrring all 8 tracks at once thru the LitePipe.

Whew!! it was like Apollo 13......turn this off, put this cable in, turn this on, take the cable out, set the bit rate, secure the LEM, ect.....

Now i only hope i can do this tommorow!!!
