In most of those photos, he appears to be in costume and makeup for The Long Hot Summer (1958)...

So I'm wondering if they're actually from the set of that film(?).

 

Especially the long opening scene!

 

You're right! I guess Ms Welles' memory is as bad as mine! I'm going to change the title of the post! And maybe the mods could change the title of this thread, please!
