I like it. I have even played drums with a band doing Four Sticks, and I suck as a drummer. :)

Love it. I think it's the most underrated song in the Zeppelin catalog, and while IV is truly an all killer no filler record, the only song that I may like more than "Four Sticks" is "When the Levee Breaks." But I'd probably rather listen to "Four Sticks."

Incidentally, it's the first LZ song that I learned how to play on the bass, so that makes it extra special for me.

I like "Four Sticks" more than I like onions.

Some people don't like "Four Sticks"?

It sure is better than that song that starts with hey hey Mama, the title escapes me at the moment.

it's a very clever track. 5/4 timing isn't for everyone, but I love it. songs like this is what separates Zeppelin from the other hard rock bands of the era.

Kudos to who figured out that "Onions" was a typo for "Opinions!"

Amazing and mesmerizing track to me ... I think we forget because we have heard it so much. If you really listen to it though... Pretty mind bending track.

Call me an idiot, beenlistening to Zep IV since it came out,
I never caught on to the meaning of the title !!
About two weeks ago, I went to see one of those Classic Albums Live shows.
    They did LZ IV.
The drummer used four sticks when he played the song !!!
Now that I know what is going on, I vote Yes.
Is there anyone else who wasn't aware of this?

Love it! Bonzo may be the highlight of the tune, but John Paul Jones really shines on this one. If you really listen to him JPJ takes that song to different heights.

When I first got into zep it was one of my least favorite songs, down there with hats off for Harper. Now it's one of my favorites. The page/plant version in the 90s made me reassess it and really get into it and now I can't get enough of it. I think the album version is a bit compressed to death, a bit improved by the alternate mix, but there's an alternate mix floating in the ether that has more life in it.

I've got to be honest, but FS is my favorite Zep song. There's just nothing else that can match its mysterious, pulsating, and worldly vibe. Carouselambra, my 2nd fav LZ track, comes just a tiny hair close, but Sticks gets the upper hand for the reasons I mentioned. That said, I'm listening to this song in my homeroom class right now :D

Seriously, "Four Sticks" is one of those Zeppelin hard rock tracks that really sets them apart from any other of their peers or imitators. It's wild and unhinged and elemental. Kingdom Come could never have wrote such a song in a million years.

The more I listen to this song, the more I think it might be one of the best things they ever did. Stunning arrangement and an otherworldly anguished vocal performance by Plant - what he does with his voice toward the end is just mesmerizing and always reminds me of how great a singer he was. The climax when the synths kick in is one of my favorite Zep moments ever.
