Ortofon 2m Red Cartridge Alignment AT LP120

Hi everyone,

I just got a Ortofon: 2M Red Cartridge Mounted on SH-4 Headshell. I have a Audio Technica LP 120. I was wondering if someone can recommend a free cartridge alignment protractor over at Vinyl Engine that would be good for me to use for my Ortofon? I hope I can ask that here. It is my understanding that Vinyl Engine is a popular place for vinyl enthusiasts.

The easiest way is just to plug in a number for your tonearm, make a couple selections for type of alignment, and print one out with the Conrad Hoffman generator. There's been a bunch of posts around here lately, you just need to know the tonearm pivot to spindle distance and what alignment you want to try. Probably best just to do a search here and read up a little, not very complicated.

Michael Fremer has a favorite alignment protocol. I can't think of the name at the moment but you should be able to find the name of his favorite at analogplanet. I have a lot of respect for him. He states what he thinks.
