OT: Looking for a good Blu-ray Player

Hi All,

I thought this might be a good place to ask if anyone has purchased a streaming Blu-ray player recently and can recommend. I am putting a finished rom together in my basement and hooked up one my older stereos down there and I found an older used 40" flat screen TV on Craig's list that is not a smart TV. I was thinking about buying a decent player so I would be able to watch youtube and Netflix down there if I felt like it. I have a pretty large MP3/.wav file collection so it would be helpful if I could hook up an external hard drive too. Help me out!

If you want to spend more, get a used Oppo 103.

 

I have that Sony and it should be perfect for what you need. Keep in mind, though, that if you use an external hard drive you're going to have to format it as FAT32 or the player won't be able to read it (although with firmware updates it might now be able to read exFAT as well, I've never tried it).
