What's a bad memory? Egypt Station? I don't think so. The marketing department is probably receiving bonuses for their work.

For the first time I see that people don't want the imminent release of the Archive series. o_O

Friends, it's better to release now. You can buy in February or May.
Next year we will have other releases. That's great!

Would be better to not release any forthcoming dates. Just get it out and surprise.

That's a cool idea, too bad it didn't pan out! Did your wife-to-be say, "no no no, no no no, no no noooo" at the suggestion? ;)

We didn't start out planning for such a Beatle-centric wedding (music wise), but so much of their music fit so well!

My wife walked down the aisle to Calico Skies. Then there was a bit during the ceremony where Give Me Love (Give Me Peace on Earth) played. And we finally walked off to In My Life. (Sorry, Ringo! There was no room for Back Off Boogaloo.)

Our "first dance" song was What It Is. Later we got up and played a few tunes with the band. Two were Beatle songs: Love Me Do (My wife played guitar and sang Paul's part, I played harmonica and sang John's part), and Oh! Darling (My wife played guitar and sang lead, and I played drums).

I have to say seeing my wife play electric guitar in a wedding dress was pretty cool! Best wedding I've been to. ;)

Good point. They were able to convince a ton of people to buy multiple copies of that album. Give 'em all raises! ;-)

Their greatest scheme was having Target tell me that my preorder wasn't going to arrive until the week after release. I wanted to hear the album on release day, so I went in store to get a copy. Then the pre-order ended up coming on release day after all!

And that's how they got me to buy two copies. ;) Oh well, I'll be giving the second one as a gift!

If that means they won't come out as deluxe book editions, I'll be so disappointed! :(

I’ll be very disappointed. I will complain loudly, I’ll let MPL now exactly how I feel. And then I’ll preorder them both all the same.

If you can give away as much or more of something for free as you sell for money and call it a successful marketing campaign, you're marketing in something, but it ain't commerce.

    LOL "convinced"

Marketing Push: We're releasing Egypt Station on 9/7
The Convinced: Give me 10! No, 15! It's already my favorite album EVER!

Assuming that we’re getting the option to either purchase the original album + unreleased tracks on disc 2, or the original configuration. A great move from MPL!
