But do you lose the RRS Blu-ray as a result?

I can imagine a Flowers-style slipcover box, with the respective album artwork on each side, two paperback books inside, and two of the disc holding books. Maybe an additional book that documents the '71/'72 tours? That would work nicely.

Ah, there we go. What I was aiming at, for those who want ‘em all: they now combine the boxsets. Luckily the idea of only putting out a combined boxset didn’t go through in the end (to be clear, I didn’t know this last fact yet).

That's exactly the same thing that happened to me!!

Almost as if they planned it.... [Janet!] :magoo:

    That a move! A Blu-ray? A combined boxset??
That will be a complete change and an unexpected move from MPL! Probably inspired by the latest Beatles and Lennon's reissues, they probably want to live up to them.

I was wondering if these might be normal re issues like the last 4 standard and coloured LP’s but it looks like they are going to be given the archive treatment definitely ?

Sending Prayers out for Flaming Pie Archive Collection in the future.

  12. Couldn’t of been inspired by those sets because these things are planned a year or more out in advance .

    Yeah, baby, yeah!

I'm looking forward to 3 CDs of Wild Life!
I mean, 3 CDs for RRS, seems like a no-brainer between tracks left off the double, b-sides & singles, plus the odd demo or unreleased track.
But Wild Life? Color me interested! :pineapple:

Finally, we can hear the full version of "Mumbo Link".... :-popcorn:

This has always been the most interesting time of Paul's solo career. Well, 1970 up to Band on the Run.

That third CD for Wild Life has to be a live concert (or songs from various live concerts) recorded on the Wings Over Europe 1972 tour.

Thats what I think too. There can't be much studio outtakes from that period.

I wonder if the rumored live box has been (at least partially) cannibalized to provide this extra live disc here, assuming that's what we're getting.

Are you folks really going to be springing for all these box sets?
I don't feel like it is crowded. Imagine one is not even an album I really care about. I have the cd and the mfsl cd. I am good.
The White Album is great, but i have the original cd, the remaster cd, the mfsl vinyl and the mono vinyl box and mono cd box. Frankly I am not interested in any more White Album issues....certainly not a remix.

So that puts the RRS and WWL boxes as the only ones I am interested in this year.

I am hoping for some colored vinyl too!

    Awesome.

Also, Laine would have more credit ("I Would Only Smile" will be released on the original Lp I think).

    C'mon, Paul. Calm your ego.

Or audio from the rehearsal. Although of course Wings Live'72 looks more real. It would be great to hear something from the University tour if they have records.

About the composition of the compact disks I can only guess. I'm not an insider!

If the Imagine set was planned a year in advance as well, it could still have influenced MPL hypothetically.

I was wondering the same thing.

They've already cannibalized "Last Flight" several times already and we haven't even gotten to Back To The Egg yet...
