Re the deluxe box sets for Ram, Venus and Mars and Wings Over America I finally joined a website (there are 6 that are acceptable) so I could download the high resolution stuff. Bit overly complicated for a gumby like me but they all downloaded and seem fine. That is good that the codes are still usable.

If they've fixed Magneto on 'Venus And Mars', I might have to buy the 1-disc reissue.

Prices are dropping on the regular vinyl on Amazon. Tug of War and RAM are down to 16.99.

What was ever wrong with it?

Wouldn't be surprised if they go down further. I've noticed a trend of vinyl prices dropping rapidly during the "pre-order" phase.

If you haven't noticed the glitch, I don't want to point it out and spoil your enjoyment...

But it you pull up the Venus & Mars thread, you'll find it.

I don't navigate this site that well could you put a link or just tell me cause I don't think there is a glitch.

It's a slight jump at 2:45-2:46. I'm doubtful it's a big enough deal for replacements to be issued.

I am happy to pay $20 (USA) if they are pressed at a good factory, so they're flat, centered, and not scratched so they come in a good poly lined sleeve.
Even $25 is not too much if the jacket is good quality printed stock. I think $15 for a crap pressing is too much.

I can't hear it. I think I've read about it and I have checked it out myself before, but I still can't hear it. Oh well. Better for me I guess.

I think the glitch/jump is only on the Archive version of "Magneto & Titanium Man". It is all fine on the original album.

In that other thread on Venus & Mars, it was mentioned that the glitch/jump is "Just on the [Archive] CD. Not on the hi-res downloads."

I don't know if it also appeared on the Archive LP.

Ah, if that's the case, then it must be why I couldn't detect it on my iTunes digital download of it. I even tried to compare it with my DTS download of the song which was the only thing in my iTunes library that's not from the Archive Collection to compare it to.

Yes, and I am (sort of) Old School, so I need a perfect version on cd...

I wonder if the archive collection is dead. It seems as though these single record pressings are being dumped out quick to replace the double album Archive series and will continue as just standard single record remastered/reissues and possibly on colored vinyl moving forward.

    Just a guess.

Either way, bring on my beige Flaming Pie vinyl!!!
