Some difficulties with the presale this morning - it didn't go live for a couple minutes after 9. Got what I needed, though. Hope others were persistent and had similar luck.

Yeah, the site wouldn't load for me until ten after but I got two really nice seats for the Detroit show. McCartney show #8 here I come!!!

 

I don't disagree that there's definitely something fishy going on with ALL presales and concert ticket sales in general. However, I've had great luck with Paul's presales. Since he went to the "Crowdsurge" folks, I've seen five shows, I think. PHX in 2010 I got two nice floor seats. SLC in 2010 I got 5th or 6th row floor. SEA in 2013: 5th row floor. Missoula & SLC last year: THIRD row floor. All from the presales. In fact I remember vowing to NOT go see him again last year, but the 3rd row popped up and it was 45 mins into the presale (after receiving numerous less glamorous seat offerings).

 

I missed out. I couldn't get connected by 9.35 and then had to run to a meeting until 10.35, and now all the reserved seats in Columbus are sold out.
On the bright side (which I regret anyway): taking my family to the concert would have been a budget catastrophe for me. Dodged that bullet... Maybe I'll try for the cheaper seats on Saturday...

I got 8th row, center section (FL1) for Buffalo at 9:05...Good thing too as I had a meeting at 9:15!!!!

 

All this talk about buying tickets and no talk about the music.

Well, we are about due for the recurring debate about the set list being too static and Beatles-heavy. It should be due to come by any time now.

 

Maybe Paul will drop the Beatles songs and instead replace them with Freddie & The Dreamers cover versions. He's been talking recently in interviews about his desire to pay tribute to the Dreamers and this might be an opportunity to shake things up a bit. It makes you think.

I still really wanna know who is singing "Oh, I Need You."

 

Perhaps there are certain mysteries in the universe that "man" was never meant to solve.

 

I got tix! Bring on the static, beatles-heavy setlist!

 

If I had to bet, I would say that Paul will probably keep any "new" songs for his next tour in Spring 2016.

Okay, I just checked StubHub for a friend. I bought two tickets yesterday for the upcoming Detroit show - $96 each plus fee - and looked on StubHub today for them just for a lark and seats in the same section are going for nearly $400!!!

I know StubHub has markups but that's crazy. The $69 seats were going for over $200. Wow. Who would pay that price especially before the public sale? I'm guessing not many.

 

I've done McCartney pre-sales three times before ('09 & twice in '10), but... this time... HOLY CRAP!!! WHAT A MESS!!! It was awful... I kept getting error signs & it'd just spin & not load... I got through a few times, but to no avail- nothing we wanted & totally got shut out. I had cleaned & de-bugged the computer right before I tried too... truly terrible. Hoping for the best with the actual sale...
