Phorus wireless systems: any thoughts?

I've been looking for a wireless system that allows me to both:
1) transmit a stream from my desktop computer throughout the house
2) receive the stream and run it into multiple receiver/speaker systems in the living room & dining room (i.e. need a wireless receiver to plug audio into the already extant receiver/speaker combo).

Sonos does not meet this need since they don't have just a simple receiver. Did a search here in the forum but did not find anything about Phorus, which looks flexible enough to solve this dilemma - and far less expensively than Sonos.

Does anyone have experience with Phorus wireless systems?

 

Not familiar with that system, but look into Bluesound.
