Thank you for being so observant - I can see now that it is not Grace Kelly.

 

There's a lot of controversy over a model who isn't plus sized but actually has curves (breasts) - Kate Upton. She looks like a "classic beauty" (caucasian) to me.

In the past, I've gone on about Lena Horne, who looks quite ethnic - at least in my mind, classic beauty comes in all colors. I have a cd of her MGM material that I have played to death. Either through genetics or clean living, she looked amazing right up until she died.

 

There was never a woman more aptly named than Grace

I cannot wait for the second Gary Giddins book on Bing Crosby to be released. It supposedly does go into detail re: the affair Bing and Grace had during "High Society" and "Country Girl". Giddins writes in a fact-filled, non-trashy manner so it should be a fabulous read.

 

OH! it will sell like HOT CAKES, pallie! Gary's 1st book on the Ol' Groaner was very well-received. The 2nd edition (going from the 40's thru the end of Bing's life) is long overdue and will probably make a few best seller lists.

 

She doesn't look earthy at all to me. Honestly, she's not my type, but I can understand that she could be someone else's. But. . . she's no longer with us.

 

No kidding. I love that picture. Pure, natural Grace and it shows what a true beauty she was.
