Peter Frampton's gonna get it and use it for his big finale.

Gee, The Simpsons were still great back in 1996.

Wow I always assumed the Animals cover art was just that - art. I had no idea it was a photograph. Mind blown.

If they withdrew it from the auction, somebody wants it.

I used to love the Simpsons back then. Then the creativity ran out which is expected after so many years.

I think the problems with The Simpsons started 15 years ago, approximately. Anyway, those first eight or nine seasons are pure gold.

    I might bid on it.
So I could cut it up into pork chop and bacon balloons.
I could use any left over material to grind up and make wiener balloons with.

Either that , or somebody discovered some kind of intellectual property rights clause that covers it....
I wouldn't be surprised if Roger Waters protested to its sale quite bitchingly.

Of course, because you hate Roger Waters with an irrational passion. BO-ring!

Where did you get such an absurd notion?
Hatred is an emotion I don't waste energy on, and even if I did there would be no reason for me to have hatred toward someone who was at one time a member of a band I like.
I certainly don't take dislike to the level of a being a passion, I specifically don't entertain hatred in any form, vaguely or passionately.
Mr Waters is the guy who fought over the pig as well as the bands right to use their own name, I made my post based on past history, and nothing else.

Every post I've ever read by you in regard to Roger Waters is cartoonishly negative. I call 'em as I see 'em. The chances of you not interpreting this pig-pull as due to Waters being "bitchy" were about as remote as winning a billion dollar lottery ticket.

You are wrong on all counts. I like the Waters era Floyd and acknowledge his contribution. I simply also recognize that the band was just as good and sometimes better without him. They certainly seemed to be able to work easier and function as a band better.
And Gilmour is every bit as good a lyricist as Mr Waters when he does write lyrics. He just isn't into the lofty concept thing, which was always quite overblown.
As far as appreciating Syd, how could it be a loss? The guy was the pretty boy front man for a British pop group who wrote some rather strange and radio friendly songs. That not all 60s British pop appeals to me is hardly a loss. I tend to like rock music and specifically some of the more intense and complex music of the rock era.
    Different strokes for different folks.

Not if you like social commentary. The most recent episodes are the best, and the show has lost none of its edge.
