Hi there, I've got this song stuck in my head and I don't know what it's called. All I know is that the chorus goes:
Nah Nah Nah Nah Nah, Nah Nah Nah Nah Nah Nah Nah Nah Nah Nah Nah

several times. The chorus sounds mostly female, yet the lead singer is male. It's a rock song (probably "adult" rock), with a guitar/piano intro that sounds like the chorus (above). I've done so many google searches and have not come up with it. This song is at least from the mid 1990s... anyone know what its called? Please help :)

Just to advise you, google search does not help. Again, this chorus is broken into sections between verses, and is sung as a whole at the end (several times)

Maybe Roxette's "The Look" from "Look Sharp!"? The final chorus is mostly nah nah nah nah nah etc... by the female singer in the group and the rest is mostly sung by the guy.

It's not "Cuts Like A Knife" by Bryan Adams? (nah, can't be)

Thanks, but I don't think that's it... like I said in my terrible description, it has a ton of nah nah's in it, throughout the entire song

If it helps any Washingtonians (DC area), they occasionally play it on WASH-FM.

It's not Sheryl Crow's "Na Na Song", is it?

    Na na na na na
Na na na na na na na na na na

    Come on, alley
    Like long tall Sally

    Doin' The Watusi
    Gotta hold of your back
I said I like it like that
    Do The Jerk, now
    Watch me work, now

    Na na na na na
Na na na na na na na na na na

    Come on, alley
    Like long tall Sally

    Doin' The Watusi
    Lord, help me!
    Oh, help me!
    Oh, help me!

Check The Covers Project: Chris Kenner website to see if you can identify the version you're thinking of. Not listed is a version also covered by Tina Turner.

I wanted to be with you alone
    And talk about the weather
But traditions I can trace against the child in your face
    Won't escape my attention
You keep your distance fear the system of touch
    And gentle persuasion
I'm lost in admiration that I need you this much
    Oh, you're wasting my time
    You're just wasting time

Something happens and I'm head over heels
I never find out till I'm head over heels
Something happens and I'm head over heels
    Ah don't take my heart
    Don't break my heart
    Don't throw it away

I made a fire and watching burn
    Thought of your future
With one foot in the past now just how long will it last
No no no have you no ambition
My mother and my brothers used to breathe in clean in air (Changes with those...)
And dreaming I'm a doctor (They can't stop...)
It's hard to be a man when there's a gun in your hand
    Oh I feel so...

Something happens and I'm head over heels
I never find out till I'm head over heels
Something happens and I'm head over heels
    Ah don't take my heart
    Don't break my heart
    Don't throw it away

    (Throw it away)

Na Na Na Na Na, Na na na na na na na na (repeat)

And this my four leaf clover
I'm on the line, one open mind
This is my four leaf clover
    In my minds eye
One little boy, one little man
    Funny how, time flies

Natalie Merchant had a hit in the 90's that went "na na na na, na na na na". Don't know the name of it but she sings "I want to thank you" over and over... could this be it?

Now the coolest one with such a chorus is Uriah Heep's Lady in Black, though it's sure not your song!

It's not Hey Jude, I definetly know that song! And it's not Sheryl either. No luck with 1000 dances. It's not a depressing song, but its not a really happy peppy song either... so no "hey's or other exclamations".
Like I said, it's a GUY that sings the main parts and a mixed (probably mostly female) chorus that says: "nah nah nah nah naaaah naaaah, nah nah nah nah naahh naaaah naaaah naaaah naaaah, naaaah..." sort of like that

I'm almost positive it's 'Head Over Heals' by Tears For Fears. You can listen to the clip using the link on my first post in this thread.
