  1. I loved this album and bought it on day of release. I still love it and play it on a regular basis. Great music

Overall I love it. But Adam's Psychadelic Breakfast Part 1 is my all-time favorite piano/keyboard piece, definitely.

Fat Old Sun reminds me of 1983 by The Jimi Hendrix Experience, and I can hear the origins of the Super Furry Animals on Summer '86.

Quite crap. The suite is not impressive at all; some of the following songs have a low key charm.

The only thing I find somewhat surprising is the low ranking of The Final Cut. That said, although I think The Final Cut is a very good album artistically, depending on the mood of the listener, it can be quite unpleasant.

A very solid effort, one of their best even. I spin it often.

Hmm--so we're missing Dark Side, Animals, More & Momentary Lapse.

I think I can guess how at least two of those will rate.

AHM is one of those few lp's along with Bowie's Ziggy Stardust where I far prefer live versions of the material over the studio versions. The only studio track on AHM I really like is Summer '68.

Cambridge St/ation included a german newsreel of their UFO performances, so why is that Austria thing not in Devi/ation?

Amazing track! I use it as one of my iPhone alarms actually. It had a clear influence on OMD's "Forever Live and Die as well

A bit late to the thread ....

A pretty solid effort - worth recommending

wonderful atmosphere , the music is dramatic, psychedelic and experimental with lots of beauty, the music takes you to a journey to a peaceful and mesmerizing landscapes of lakes ,gardens /forests and beautiful farms.

No Tea & Biscuit /cookie to any member of the band ( in the present and in the past) until they admit that Atom Heart Mother is an excellent and beautiful album :)

    Marmalade rules!
