Yeah, I know the entire title is SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND, but you know what we're doing this time--the Beatles' 1967 album.

Pick two of these as weak links.

No weak links in my opinion. I could never listen to it any other way.

  4. Hey - at least no one will have to deal with some crappy, abbreviated alternate Capitol U.S. version this time...:)

  5. Easy choice for me - Within You Without You and She's Leaving Home. Two of the weakest original Beatle tracks in their entire catalog IMO.

This is going to be the toughest one so far. I find it hard to believe that many are voting off "She's Leaving Home" - one of Paul's finest songs.

My first choice was "With A Little Help From My Friends" - it's alright but never been a favorite. Second choice is one that I like but the competition is tough - sorry Vera,Chuck & Dave...

"When I'm Sixty Four" and "Fixing A Hole."

I know it will be an early exit......possibly next round......so I'll say now that I love "She's Leaving Home."

Little Help (although Macca's bassline is great) and When I'm 64. Next would be Lucy and after that, not an easy decision.

For me, both "She's Leaving Home" and "Within you Without You" are painful listens.

However, after that, each vote will be difficult.

Within, Without and Kite. Two hokey style pieces supported entirely by stunts that don't hold up.

Within You Without You and Mr. Kite...even when I was nuts about this album and listening to it twice a day or more, I usually skipped those two.

No weak link. The separate tracks form an ensemble where each part works with every other part. You can't have one without the other. Interesting is the mono mix is done to that aim while the stereo breaks up some of the parts and make it more like a regular collection of songs.
