PLEASE ADD YOUR FAVS, (if not already listed)

Which band do you want playing at your house party, backyard barbecue or Beach- Pool Party -IF they could only play other people’s songs?
Remember; they won’t play their original songs - but will play any songs you tell them to!

This is a fun way of identifying which bands you feel are most versatile, musically rich in history and talent.

“Bands” can consist from any era from 1960 to present, the bands can be bands that are now defunct, dead, broken up, fragmented, reformed or intact - meaning any band past or present.

Some qualifying factors I considered were their actual cover recordings, ability to play a variety of musical styles/songs - plus their apparent sense of musical history and appreciation.
Think - your favorite songs being performed by them at a party! Whooo-Hoooo. LOL.

Your nominees are welcome! Please name and comment if your choice isn’t here.
Please comment if your band is here and VOTE!

    Three (3)votes allowed.

Kick off the Summer Party Season!

    I'd want a 1995 era Black Crowes.

Do backing bands count? The Wrecking Crew?

I also pick Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band and CCR.

I voted for the E Streeters because of course you can't stump the band.

I voted also for Rockpile because they are a band I would love to see again performing anything.

My third pick - not on the list - would be Del Amitri who have consistently done brilliant covers since 1989.

To The Replacements named above, I'd add the Ramones.

The Grateful Dead was my choice from the poll.

I'll second Buck Owens and the Buckaroos.

    P-Funk not on the list.

Interesting to see Leon Russell listed as a choice, because I'd like to hear most of the bands listed cover Leon Russell songs!
