I want the Ventures at any theme party of mine!

 

Umphrey’s McGee is probably the best non-cover band at playing covers that I have heard.

However, having Phish play my party would be too cool to pass up, so I’m going with them.

 

To be clear, I LOVE the 60s Miles group, but while it would be a real coup to get them to play at your backyard pool party, I'm not sure how they would go over!

I know the earlier band with Trane still played dances once in awhile. But the SGQ would be a special kind of party to be sure.

I've heard them do Neil Young, Springsteen, Van Morrison, Tom Petty, Allman Brothers, The Rolling Stones, Townes Van Zandt and others. They are fantastic.
