    Electronic System - "Skylab"

    Released 1974, from a Belgian electronic band. This is honestly their only good song, and is a warm and groovy piece that would be totally at home on an Air, Zero 7, or 90's/2000's downtempo record.

    I enjoy the storytellers. From the doc Heartworn Highways. Townes Van Zandt--Waiting Around to Die. Song starts about 1:40 in, I would suggest watching the whole thing.

    Townes Van Zandt was a national treasure. I got to see him live once; the man presented a cautionary lifestyle tale, but was a BRILLIANT songwriter.

    The Kinks are one of my favorite bands, but they lose me a bit during this era. I'm more of a 1964-1975 Kinks fan, but there is no denying they were always great. One of the best runs of great albums by anybody.

    Thanks so much for taking the time to check it out. It is the song in my repertoire that most varies from performance to performance, always taking it somewhere new, but the one we got in the studio is a gem.
