My little retreat is looking a little forlorn at the minute, components packed away....seriously missing my vinyl and it's only been two days! I was expecting my new rack to arrive today, well 2/3rd's turned up! should be back up & running tomorrow when the last piece arrives.

I'm afraid it's just the Bose Soundlink Mini & Tidal tonight!

Hey, my son just picked one of those up, they sound big and clear for the size, and yup...about the size of a standard brick.

How much are these equipment racks costing you guys? All the ones I find are like 250 or 300 bucks EASILY and on up.

just like anything else in this hobby you can spend a small fortune on racks...

if you can find one you like and make your own version...

People give Bose a lot of crap, some of it deservedly so, but I'm really impressed with the Soundlink mini. We have small kids who like to play outside a lot and it's perfect for the backyard deck or setting on top of the car hood while they draw with chalk on the driveway. Before we were just using the crappy speaker from our iPhones.

    Mine was £70: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00C1EKDKA/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_KlSAvb18ZBXMW

Bit of a palaver putting it together (the instructions are wrong, as confirmed in Amazon reviews) but well worth it in the end to get all the gear in a nice sturdy home out of the way of the speakers and other vibrations :)

Pretty good aren't they, typical Bose quality and a decent sound. Can't believe how much they weigh for their size. Wouldn't want to drop it on my foot!

A few friends have this unit and I agree...sounds great for it's size. If I needed something like that, it's probably where I'd look first.

the OCD in me really wants you to move your entertainment center a tad bit to the left to align with your TV. :)

Me too. But I mounted the TV before bringing in the bookshelf. After I brought the bookshelf and I had to shift all of the gear to the right.

It works out okay though because the TV is more to the wife's side as I am sitting in the sweet spot. So there is less complaining about why I always sit where I do. :)

Lol... I think they are from Iowa or Minnesota but it's all Midwest anyways.

They play once a year in a barn close to here. Very intimate setting, no stage, just the same space with the audience. Maybe 80 people maximum.

They are a great chill band.

I think I know that barn, bit of a dump ;). FYI, that Kris Delmhorst show on Wednesday is worthy of attention.
