and of course he was on the first two great Steve Miller Band LPs, Children of the Future and Sailor. Love those records.
Getting music playing in the new house was the first thing I did the day we moved in, wife is still telling her friends about how I didn't set-up the beds till day two and we had to sleep on a mattress on the floor the first night.
Now that you mention it, my pal Josh had one of those too! He was a record store manager in the '70s-'90s and had all kinds of neat promo items like that. He used to refer to Boz Scaggs as "Scuz Baggs."
Ha! I won one of those from MCA records for doing a display on....I forget. It had an album and two 45's in it. It finally fell apart and I tossed it.
Very nice pics on this thread, finally got some new pics from my IPad about time>from photobucket. sean
Re-arranged the space which gave me an extra foot or foot and a half of space. It also allowed me to clean up the look of the system to a degree. Still working on getting the artwork up above the computer. Also got this entertainment stand for $15 bucks from a flea mall. Took off the glass doors to open it up permanently.
Just added a vinyl front end to the system. Pro-Ject Debut Carbon and Lounge Audio LCR Phono Pre sound mighty fine for the money.
I know, they're a pain in the a$$. I can't wait for the 10 tb ssd to hit the market. 3 or 4 of those puppies and I'll be set for a while and can retire these.
Had to change plans with the setup and put the amp and turntables on a stand instead of on the credenza. Initially we were going to mount the tv on the wall with above all that, but the credenza proved to not level enough without shimming the turntables like crazy. Now we don't have to worry about mounting the tv though, and I was kind of nervous of the idea do the Tv hanging above the gear, however irrational that fear was. Went to the Needle Doctor and bought a salamander 3.0 rack and I'm pretty happy with the compromise. I will say that setup of that shelf seems easy enough, but getting it just leveled right was a serious pain, though that may be more operator error. Next up, get some area rugs in here and replace the expedit with some custom walnut LP shelves my brother-in-law is building for me. Bonus shot of the view
