In my fantasy world, the next 4 Predator films will be directed by

    Quentin Tarantino

    Oliver Stone

    James Cameron

    and

Clint “get off my lawn crab face!” Eastwood

If this is meant in chronological order, you might wanna put Clint first. Dude's 88 years old - he'd be around 100 by the time a 4th film rolled around!

I have not seen the 2nd and 3rd Predator movies in a long time. If my power stays on I hope to rectify that this weekend. Bought the HD versions from iTunes for $4.99 each.

I saw the new Predator movie today. Let's just say that it's not a good movie. Really unnecessary and probably hurts the franchise.

Olivia Munn is probably the most famous person in the movie along with Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy from Game of Thrones) and Jake Busey in a very small role. All the rest of the actors are either people you never see in movies (or in just bit parts) and some you might see on TV.

There is a throwback line for "Get To Da Choppa".....It is said in this movie as well. LOL

The opening Space scene was cheesy as hell. The Special Effects to create the scene was horrible and reminded me of '70s and early '80s space movies. Looked fake as hell and could've been done by a teenager in his basement on his computer.

It was good, cheesy, action fun with a dash of science fiction, a good sense of humor and heaping of cartoonish violence. The main group of soldiers are mostly escaped mental patients, and they have a great sense of camaraderie which helps to maintain levity, and makes them all rather likable characters who are easy to root for. The main plotline itself is kind of ridiculous, but come on, it's a Predator movie, not a Hitchcock thriller.

While I found most of the movie rather enjoyable and entertaining, the final act was kind of a letdown for me. That's when the serious action picked up, but it was shot very darkly and edited with so many quick cuts and shaky cam that it was difficult to discern everything that was happening. Some of the gorier kills came and went so quickly that I didn't fully process what had happened, even with some of the major characters. And there were a couple of smaller plot threads that were just dropped with no explanation, part of the unfortunate editing of the final act.

But there was still plenty to like here. It was a solid popcorn flick overall. I'd say that as long as you go in with realistic expectations, you'll probably enjoy yourself. While it has plenty of gore and violence, much of it is over the top cartoonish, and the movie never takes itself too seriously. But don't get me wrong, it's still a Predator movie through and through with some drama and thriller aspects, it's just not nearly as dark overall as its predecessors.

Colin, you’re great, but Predator 2 was utter horsehockey. I know you know this.

Nope. I wouldn't call it a classic but it's an above-average action flick!

I just saw it and thought it was pretty good. The ensemble cast was a lot of fun to watch. I haven't seen any other Predator movies except the original before.

My roommate in Los Angeles got married in 1986. We threw him a bachelor party and Kitten Natividad was hired as the entertainment. She was gorgeous, awesome, and sweet. And NAKED! One of life's high points.
