Conan and Terminator are pretty good but not in the same league as the other two. if you narrow it down to sci-fi action, Terminator 2 and Predator can't be beat...according to me :)

Some of those are a stretch, imo.

    Also, as an interesting aside:

Dwayne Johnson is now the highest paid actor of all time:

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson is now the 'highest-paid actor of all time'

He earned $124 million last year.

I wonder who's highest paid in inflation-adjusted dollars? Probably Ahnold or Tom Cruise.

George Clooney made $239M last year.

George Clooney made more money than any other actor last year

..smart move, Mr. Clooney. If I'm not mistaken, it's been years since his last hit; and the last movie he directed (starring Matt Damon) tanked at the box office.

I think Dwayne should take to some time off..
From movies till right role comes around he's wearing out his welcome.

I saw Skyscraper today. Definitely a total knockoff of Die Hard with a little bit of The Towering Inferno mixed in. That being said, I was entertained for 108 minutes. Sure, the stunts were unbelievable in that no human could possibly do what was portrayed in the movie, not to mention a disabled human with half a leg. But as a summer popcorn flick, it was no worse than many others and probably better than some others. Of course Die Hard is a classic; this is not. Die Hard had some top-notch acting, humorous one-liners, etc. The only thing this movie had was the non-stop action and The Rock's good looks and charm along with Neve Campbell's good looks.

Not big Trouble in Little China.. no.... way..
If had the money he had I would take a couple years off..
It's going to get worse for him because he pushes himself too much..

Doesn't really work that way. You leave for a couple of years you get passed by, forgotten and others have stepped up to be the latest and greatest. You strike while the iron is hot.

Yup. Will Smith was arguably the biggest movie star in the world through 2008 - he took a few years off from movies and has really struggled to regain his "A-list" status since he came back in 2012...

I think you can stay in the game though without saying yes to every tired pile of [IMG] that comes along.

Sure, but it's possible that Dwayne Johnson - or whoever - thinks these projects will be really good.

As often said, hardly anyone sets out to make a bad movie! :)

Ringer .com said majority people feel Dwayne is wearing out his welcome..
Even Arnold didn't do as many movies as Dewayne is doing..
I think it's hollywoods fault, trying recapture the 80's action movies
Which are not what most public wants anymore..
Dwayne is last action hero.. how long will it last with more box office flops?

Predator is a stone cold classic. That film has aged very well. The jungle setting makes it kind of timeless.

Maybe Arnold was just really smart about the projects he chose in the 80s and early 90s. It was a great stretch from Conan through True Lies.

I've always found "Predator" to be a watchable, moderately entertaining movie - and a disappointment. It should've been better than the near-self-parody it offered:

    Predator [Blu-Ray] (1987)

To you, maybe - to me, I see a lot of crap in that 13-year run.

Schwarzenegger picked many bad projects in that span!

Possibly, but who among his action doll contemporaries has a comparable score sheet? Segal? Van Damme? Chuck Norris? I don't include Bruce Willis in this category since his roles have been far more varied. Maybe Stallone, and that's it. Stallone did try to follow up "Rocky" with some interesting, if flawed, boilerplate films such as "F.I.S.T." and "Paradise Alley". But by the time Arnold was on top, Stallone was coasting on Rocky and Rambo and novelty outings such as "Stop or My Mom Will Shoot!". Who among Schwarzeneggers' peers was making the best action films during the 80s and 90s?

Can't see any mention of it in the forum but Hotel Artemis a solid 4 out of 5.
Set in a hotel turned hospital for the L.A. underworld when injured in there vocation.
Good acting all round with a tight script and similar acting.
A few surprises to keep the attention.
Deserves to regain its $15m budget and make a good profit.
Goldblum was a bit sparse for his high position in the acting credits.
Best role/character goes to the female assassin who steals it at the end.
