PS3 Audio - Need Advice

    You'd mentioned it worked wirelessly, just with stuttering/drop outs.. This is what I mean when in terms of the potential downsampling issue you can at least see what it does, ie downsamples, produces horrible shrieking sound, errors out, etc. Then you can determine if its worth your time to move things around or run wires.

    No anomalies with sound, just the stuttering & dropouts. However, I know no way of ascertaining the sample rates of the audio being sent to my receiver from the PS3. So I'm trying to workout whether I can live with the PS3 downsampling, whether I should resample the files myself or not proceed at all.

    Ok, so I was unable to play a 24 bit / 96kHz WAV file. The PS3 reported "unsupported format".
