"Puppets Who Kill"

I just saw this dvd set yesterday and the packaging got me interested. I have never seen the show, but based on the one review on Amazon and the dvd package it appears that the show might appeal to people who enjoy dark, crude humor a la "South Park" or "Strangers With Candy." I'm wondering if anyone here has seen the show and, if so, what you think about it.

A Twilight Zone with Jackie Cooper as a magician was kinda similiar, eh?
If the puppets that kill are hand puppets, that's like: "Kookla, Fran, and Ollie-Go Pyschotic!"
