Question for Steve: 78's?

    Have you cut any 78's in recent years?

    Did the faster speed make for better sound? (Just like in tape?)

    I've cut a few 78's, but since the speed is so fast, any pressing problems manifest themselves to too great an extent at that speed. Slight off-center or warpage at that speed is just too much for modern needles and tone-arm weight to handle. The old arms tracked a lot heavier.

    So for me, the trade off isn't worth it.
