I had no idea he had such a long and varied career. Well done. I've been too obsessed about Deep Space Nine, I guess!

There was time back in the 70's when he seemed to be everywhere. Very sorry to hear of his passing.

    RIP.

I saw him interviewed once where he talked about his film debut in Lilith, where he had to help Warren Beatty on a horse at a renaissance fair. It seems ol' Warren was a PITA even then.

    RIP

RJ is interviewed in a doc on making MASH, where he discusses improvising during the blessing a jeep scene.

He had a fairly prominent role in a largely-forgotten 1972 Carol Burnett and Walter Matthau comedy Pete 'N' Tillie. I was surprised to see him crop up in it late one night about 15 years ago.

I was trying to find on YouTube the scene where the guys broadcast Hot Lips and Frank to the rest of the camp. Father Mulcahy’s reaction when it finally dawns on him what he’s hearing is priceless.

Sad. An Altman staple. Fav roles would be MASH or McCabe. RIP

He was great to the end. He was wonderful in Raising Buchanan.

Great actor. Loved him in Deep Space Nine, Benson and many other series. He also appeared in a Night Gallery episode with Ross Martin. Rest in Peace.

He actually plays the romantic lead as Susannah York's husband in Altman's Images.
