Brilliant writer and innovative producer, Bochco changed the way television programs were presented.

He revolutionized TV drama. His work in the early-80s set the stage for the flood of brilliant dramatic television we have now. Amazing career.

This is sad news.

Hill Street was absolutely essential and unmissable viewing in the 80s - astonishing to think that it finished over 30 years ago now. And loved LA law too.

Apparently, he died of cancer.

 

Thanks for providing us with the two BEST (IMO) cop shows ever televised, Mr. Bochco! Furillo & Sipowicz were both great lead characters!
