The next Rambo just started filming and will be released in Fall 2019 (tentative.)

The story will have a Western feel to it.

Not to judge a movie a year out from release, but I thought the last one had a perfect ending for the character...

 

I have been a huge Rambo fan since I was a kid but I must admit, I am skeptical about this. I fully agree with The Hermit that the last film had the perfect ending. The entire film seemed to wrap up the story very well.

 

He can't run anymore, hence h o r s e.

 

Nice colour horse! Hopefully he is on the right side of the law this time.

Could be a small story about him having to deal with some cattle thieves that gets out of hand or asked to help track down some fugitives. Maybe a bunch of out of control militia nutters?

One small point I will make is I have that style yellow buckskin gloves. You see them in loads of western type movies. Now they look so cool as with a lot of Western gear however, (as with a lot of Western gear) they are totally crap in wet weather. Miserable to wear then.

At least it looks like he has a rubberised slicker on. Smart move. I have a oilskin and its only 80% waterproof but it looks so cool and beat up I have to wear it for the adventure of it all.

 

I read it's about a missing person and he discovers a sex ring. It's a rescue mission, same as Rambo II... and III... and...

 

I'm mildly surprised that there has only been 4 Rambo films up to now.

 

Last one was gung ho cgi computer blood kaboom.

It is all about story. I actually find this scenario quite interesting. I get such a high from him just pulling out a machine gun and mowing down rapist and sex trade profiteers.

 

At least his lips appear to have gone back to nearly normal. In Rambo he was taking something odd cos his body was 80% bottom lip.

Dude them jungle bees can put a hurting on ya. Could explain why he was so cranky about the missionary cause at first.

 

Maybe if he'd have adopted a heavy tash like your avatar that would have helped the quiver.

 

Good lord, Sly, can't you just play a NEW character!??! Why does he have to be Rambo? Why not 'Cowboy Mike' who take the law into his own hands or something?

I can't believe he hasn't brought Cobra back.

Honestly, I was shocked to hear there had been a third and fourth. This thread is honestly the first I'd ever heard of their existence.

 

He looks so much like Johnny Cash now, maybe he could make a sequel to Rhinestone.

John Rambo dies at the end of the first book. That should have happened in the movie. One Rambo movie is enough.

I didn't like him dying. Stallone's sppech gets a lot of unneeded criticism. I love how this killing machine was brought to a child like mind. The movie was perfect as is. Part II was good but nowhere near as good as the first that is a masterpiece to me.
