Surprised I couldn't find a thread on these two albums by former Eagles. As I recall the former hasn't been on CD before while the later was briefly.

The mastering is pretty good. No notes just a plain old reissue with a reproduction of the artwork. These cameout August 4. No bonus tracks. Both are pretty good albums.

Meisner's album sounds the least dated of the two to me.

Thanks for the heads up. Meisner's first three albums are pretty solid, nice to see the debut back in print. As a big Eagles fan, surprisingly I have not heard Felder's debut.

I need to correct myself. Wounded Bird put RM out in 2002.

It has its moments but be prepared for "the 80's" sound.

Yeah, I think I avoided checking it out because while quality musicianship will undoubtedly be present, I had heard always heard the album had a sterile production and lacked substance.

felders album is decent, but not overly so. pretty much like his other one, 'road to forever'

i can see why henley and frey did not care for his singing voice (i saw him live too, and he really is not a great singer, he is, however, a wonderful guitar player)

meisner's solo albums are also decent, again, not great or anything, but a nice listen.

of the 4 "lesser" ( i know, not the best word to use, and i do count joe walsh in this)) eagles, i think timothy b. schmit has the best solo repertoire.
