I'm especially fond of the classic late 80's (EVOL - DN), experimental late 90's (WM - ATL) and more accessible early 2000's (MS - RR) periods. Sonic Youth kickstarted my interest in music when I was 14 years old and they continue to enchant and entertain me greatly to this day. So, besides some lackluster albums here and there, they're still one of my all time favorite bands.
