It’s an instrumental version of the song, first issued as a track on The Banjo Album by Doug Dillard in 1969. Gene on harmonica.

#62 is home with me in Houston, TX. It's next up on the table after Bradley's Barn.

    #957 came home with me!

This release is the reason I went down to RSD this year, so I’m glad they had a copy for me.

Listening now...blown away by the sound quality. Much better than I was expecting. This LP rocks!

None here at RSD! Will it be released in a month or two, as a regular vinyl release, for the rest of us??

Yes it will in limited numbers direct from Entree/Sierra Records. A digital download will also be available for purchase after the vinyl is gone.

There is a ‘hidden’ unlisted bonus track on side 1 of false starts/incomplete takes. Its purpose is to show Gene was there and present for each take, and didn’t just sort of walk in off the street to sing to a finished track.

It’s not listed because I’d hoped it would be a neat little RSD surprise.

Just curious... how much does it normally cost to ship to Ireland from the US?

I know it costs around $20-23 to send to Canada at this point, and that's right next door -- not even an ocean to cross!

Great news about the digital download! Will it be available across all platforms or only available for purchase from the Sierra site?

Ridiculous? How has it been since you last sent/received an LP to/from Europe/USA?

Just sending small packages from the US overseas is really expensive fir some reason.

Two weeks ago I placed an order for a double album on Discogs. Shipping was $7.

A couple of months ago I received an album from Norton Records shipped from the US. Shipping was $11.

Yay! This material deserves release in a 21st-Century format.

Do you know if this will be Entree/Sierra selling off unsold RSD stock, or will there be another (albeit limited) pressing? I've had no luck finding it at any of the shops I visited in Osaka or Tokyo over the weekend, though I realise it is a North America-only RSD item. Thanks in advance for any info you can share!

Really nice package. Great liner notes, quiet pressing, and nice to have a lyrics sheet. Also the handwritten limited edition number on the back was a nice touch.

This is a great release! It’s astonishing that this material went unreleased at the time. Full vivid sound, too. We’re so fortunate that these tapes even exist anymore. Thank you to everyone involved in getting this out to the public at last.

I believe they are just selling off the original RSD run.

Hmm...I'll have to figure out how to get those prices. If it is a parcel or has padding in the envelope, it is handled differently. Size and weight also drive up the cost. Not sure how to get around it.

not sure about that. Looks like it will be just the Entree/Sierra site, but I'm not 100% positive.
