David, the Humble Pie set was ordered from another retailer, Pie & Vinyl, not Coda. If you click the link I posted you’ll find (via another link) the details for ordering.

Surprise Humble Pie RSD release available in just one record shop | superdeluxeedition

Coda was a folk specialist for a long period but the growth in vinyl in the past couple of years has seen them broaden into a more widespread offering. Good shop, always with a visit.

I would call the label and see if you can get a new replacement. Don't let it slide, you are the customer and you should receive a replacement!

David Bowie WTTB IS EXCELLENT, what a great record . 100 times better than Stage. Adrian Belew is on fire, whole band is on fire. DB what a great voice, and performance. after all this years , we got thru live version of isolar2 tour. isolar2 was in my last place tour, bcs Stage , and some bootlegs left me cold.
i saw yt Musiclande first time 2-3 years ago, and its great performance, and i can't understand how Stage and etc so not exciting imho. and Musicladen show is excellent .

i listened live in berlin brooklyn is , and i sad this is ok. But WTTB is real one. this is my number one live from DB

I bought both the second and third Cymande albums.
They look to be RSD First though, as the Mr Bongo website has them as 'coming soon.'

I'm pleased for the most part. There's always going to be the ones that got away. Bit gruff I missed out on the Irvine Welsh & Arthur Baker single. Just as peeved to not acquire the Hempolics and Say Sue Me's releases. But VERY happy with what I did get.

Please Mr Postman; awaiting the arrival of the Sparks 'hippo' pic-disc.

Oh, and the charity shop find - just across the road from Record Collector - The Pasadena Roof Orchestra 'Crazy Words Crazy Tunes'. A nice full stop to the day.

Did anyone pick up a copy of Spectrum’s “Highs, Lows & Heavenly Blows” ? There were only 300 presses and I was lucky to grab a copy online on Saturday night.
It’s such a great album, one of Pete Kember’s best post Spacemen 3.
Just wondered if anyone has had a chance to hear it yet, it’s going to run at approx 27 mins per side of vinyl so not expecting great things but hope it’ll sound ok.

That's a shame, I hope you find it. It took me 22 minutes from when the stuff went live to checkout with the 3 Raekwon sets and I bet most were not even trying for them. The site was really bogged down after the stuff was up.

Finishing up my RSD listening / needledropping with the Bowie live album, so here's part two of my comments on releases:

Johnny Cash at Folsom Prison - Have only listened to the download (which seems to be of the original album, not the full sets in the box) and the Folsom Rehearsals disc. The latter is charming. Lo-fi, but clear enough, with lots of chatter in the room as Cash runs through a bunch of songs with his band, presumably the ones they were adding to the set for this special event. Runs about 25 minutes. This is really a handsome set, and was very reasonably priced, I thought ($NZ90, which is probably about $US70).

Nazz - Fungo Bat Acetates - Much better than I expected. The tapes have been cleaned up nicely, excellent pressing, and it's actually makes for a really great double album.

Snatch - Glad to get a copy of this. Okay pressing, though the sound of the album isn't exactly stellar, being mostly demos. The Eno collaboration 'R.A.F.' sounds a bit murky compared to other versions I have and the original single (and the album truncates the very end of the track).

1 + 1 = x - This lavish package from Erased Tapes is more of an art object than something I'm going to pull out all the time. Sculptural white embossed box with a 'secret' opening held immaculately in place with magnets (how do they work?). Liner notes come in the form of a big coffee table photo book. The music? Well, of the two out of three albums I've listened to so far, a lot is forgettable new age mood music, but there are some cool minimalist compositions among them. Pressings (on clear vinyl) so far flawless.

Jonsi & Alex - All Animals - I'm liking each of the Sigur Ros releases more as I work through them. This is a long ambient sound collage. I especially like side two, which is like a muffled cacophony of animal noises / murmuring voices. A handful of clicks on side two of this, but otherwise these releases have been exemplary, quality-wise.

Alex Somers - This is the most dynamic of the Sigur Ros releases. Shorter, more structured pieces that would make for a very cool movie soundtrack.

Bobbie Gentry Live at the BBC - Great versions of great songs. A really excellent release.

Steven Wilson - How Big the Space - My first dip in the Steven Wilson pool, bought on a whim. This sounds like the Dukes of Stratosphear (yay!) doing mid-seventies Pink Floyd (blah) and I liked it a lot more than I expected.

David Bowie - Welcome to the Blackout - Halfway through, and like Cracked Actor last year, this seems to be miles better than the live album they released at the time. The band is really energised on the new material, and the old songs benefit from that energy too. Superb, perfectly quiet pressing.

Gary Stewart - Mowtown 7" - Went back to get this today after finding out the story behind it. Could have kicked off a tradition of great country renditions of Motown classics. Instead, the tape was lost for decades. Lovely versions of 'Baby I Need Your Loving' and 'Yester-Me, Yester-You, Yester-day' prove that a great song is a great song, whatever the setting.

The Liminanas - Dimanche 7" - Bought this for the Kinks cover on the flip ('Two Sisters'). That's a great version, but the moody a-side blew me away. Definitely exploring this band further now.

Did anyone pick up the Irvine Welsh & Arthur Baker - Dead Mans Trousers /Fly Boys At Soho collaboration? I've not spoken to anyone who bought it, or any shop that stocked it. Did it actually exist or is it an RSD wind-up like the Derek Smalls single?

    Funny you should ask!
I just had a chat in my local store this morning and they told me that one of the staff wanted this.
They got two copies in, he spend all day watching it and 10 minuets before closing time someone came in and asked for the second and last copy. Pleased to say he did the right thing and sold them it.
Long winded way to answer your question I guess!

    Peace and love✌ Dave

I don't know if this is of any interest to anyone on here, but I've just been to Rough Trade here in Bristol (UK) and I was surprised at how much stock they had left over.

At least a couple of dozen of each of the two Bowie albums and 50 or so of the Let's Dance 12". A dozen or so Piper at the Gates of Dawn, more than that of the Neil Young live LP and Their Satanic Majesties Request. Even a few copies of the Wire 7" box. Loads more stuff there if anyone else lives here in the West Country.

Anyone in the Newcastle upon Tyne ( uk) area after the Grateful Dead Box set its only £40 in Beyond vinyl.
I have no connection to them but as it’s some £30 cheaper than I’ve seen elsewhere I thought it was worth posting - they had a couple left about an hour ago.

    peace and love✌Dave

That's disappointing. It would have been nice to have a tip on jacket. What's the inner sleeve like? Is it just plain?

I would love to see some pics of the tip on jacket for the Alternative Moondance if someone is able to post some.

There's no fun in it for me. I just want to purchase and listen to the damned things, not engage in a day-long adventure hoping to snag some of what interests me. That kind of crap takes away from my listening time.

I took a casual approach to Record Store Day this year. On Saturday morning, I went to just one local record shop. I did not look at lists of what was being released in advance, so I had no "stress" of trying to find anything in particular. In the end, I bought only the following:

    * Madonna Her First Album picture disc (reissue of a Japanese release based on the promo sticker on the sleeve)
    * Madonna You Can Dance EP
    * The Doors live album
    * AC/DC Back in Black cassette

Nothing else grabbed me. I got the last Back in Black cassette, so I guess I got lucky there.
